Your donation goes directly to compost education at schools.

Here are some examples of where our donations are spent:
Maintenance of constructed systems
$100 supports each 400 lbs. of waste diverted. A small school with 150 students will divert about 800lbs of food waste annually. t It costs about $1 for each 4 lbs. of food waste recycled. Basic supplies, such as worms, hand trowels, sifting equipment, and compost container replacements factor in for most of these annual costs.

Startup of constructed systems
$1,000 provides for construction of a food waste composting bin,a recycling system, and signage for an average sized school.

Education for use of compost system
$4,000 provides and intern who promotes and records lunchtime recycling success with the student body.

Mission: To increase waste recycling at schools to 75% through composting.
